The Light of Guidance Center is the New York City Center of the Sufi Order International. The Sufi Order was founded by Hazrat Inayat Khan, one of the first teachers to bring a message of Sufism to the West in 1910. It is founded on the basis of spiritual liberty, affirming that behind all names and forms and all spiritual and religious traditions, one Living Reality exists and manifests through our lives. Our classes emphasize the cultivation of the heart and the bringing of spirituality into everyday life to realize this Living Reality. All classes and retreats are open to all.

The principal thing that the Sufi message has brought to the world is tolerance for all faiths existing in the different parts of the world, followed by different people… The true religion to a Sufi is the sea of truth and all the different faiths are as its waves. The message of God from time to time comes as tides in the sea, but what remains always is the sea, the truth. Those who consider another on the wrong track they themselves are also not on the right track, for the one who is on the right track finds every road leading to the same goal sooner or later. AN URGENT APPEAL!
Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan, the daughter of Sufi teacher Hazrat Inayat Khan, gave her life during World War II while working for the French Resistance. She was honored by the British Government after her death with the George Cross for her extraordinary bravery, and France honoured her similarly with the Croix de Guerre.
The Noor Memorial Trust has received permission for a Site Sculpture honoring Noor Un Nisa, to be constructed at Gordon Square in London. This permission for a statue was hard won and could be lost if the needed funds are not raised soon. Please make a contribution now!
