THE FAIRY’S DREAM: A Sufi Tale by Hazrat Inayat Khan

Dear Friends,
We are delighted to announce the release of both a video, free to watch and share, and a book version of Murshid’s classic tale, The Fairy’s Dream. This timeless story holds particular relevance today.

As told by Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882–1927), The Fairy’s Dream explores the mystery of life’s purpose. It tells of a fairy who has a great desire to come to the Earth. To enter a doll’s house, she has to fragment herself into different bits. Ultimately, each part forgets its connection to the whole, and confusion and conflict ensue. Finally, the fairy discovers the power of the awakened heart to unite all the parts, and this brings love, harmony and beauty to the world.

Hazrat Inayat Khan, revered Sufi teacher and classical Indian musician, taught across Europe and North America. He emphasizes the importance of spiritual liberty, tolerance for all, and the realization that all of humanity is united as one family in Love, Harmony, and Beauty.
